Interior
When you stop to consider that both of these vehicles are in the same class and similarly priced, you might think they come similarly equipped. Such is not the case as the 2016 Honda Accord comes with a host of standard equipment including dual-zone automatic climate control, floor mats, and folding side mirrors. None of these features come standard in the 2016 Nissan Altima.
Space is always a major concern in any new car, especially in the mid-size sedan market. The 2016 Honda Accord offers more hip, head, and shoulder room in the front and more leg and head room in the rear than the Nissan Maxima, making it far more comfortable on long trips and for taller passengers. The Accord with 15.8 cubic feet of trunk space also comes out ahead of the Altima's 15.4 cubic feet.
Safety
