What's New for the 2018 Honda Odyssey?

The 2018 Honda Odyssey is the current Honda minivan to be put on the market and the latest in the Odyssey model line. The all new Honda Odyssey is a part of the fifth generation of vehicles in the line of Odyssey brands, namely the minivans, gaining new features in that time. Some new aspects for the 2018 model include a complete redesign of the vehicle, such as a much improved second row seat, improved V6 engines and better handling. As far as minivan performance goes, the Odyssey contains engine features such as a 9-speed shiftable automatic transmission and a front wheel drive train to match. The minivan is capable of towing a maximum of 3,000 pounds. The fuel for this vehicle is regular unleaded gasoline and has an EPA of 22 combined miles per gallon, gaining 19 MPGs on the road and 28 MPGs when on the highway.

As with any other new vehicle, the new Honda Odyssey is equipped with all sorts of interior special features and safety precautions to ensure it is a high quality ride. The Odyssey can seat a total of eight people, with both front seats having a power function and being height adjustable and complete with multi level heating. The rear seats now have a reclining function and ventilation ducts with access to fan control. There is access to satellite radio and a USB connection with seven total audio speakers lining the inside. Adaptive cruise control is a feature with electric power steering to compliment it, and a special leather steering wheel and keyless ignition. Three zone climate control maxes out the interior comfort for drivers and passengers alike.

For the safety features, all backseat passengers will be subject to the use of rear safety locks and seating anchors. Stability and traction have all been improved this year, and other safety additions include front fog driving lights for allowing sight in low visibility conditions. A tire pressure monitoring system exists to keep watch of the wheels, and a new anti-theft alarm system is in place to alert the owner and fend off any potential criminal activity. There are also special blind spot and lane warning departure systems to help drivers be more aware of the road when turning and switching lanes at any time.
