What's New for the 2020 Honda CR-V?
Have you had your eye on the CR-V for a while? The CR-V is a stunning compact crossover SUV that has been impressing its owners for years. While its current generation was introduced to consumers in 2017 with bold updates throughout the vehicle, Honda has continued to make improvements to the CR-V year after year. For 2020, you can now choose between a gas-powered engine that was available in last year’s CR-V and a new hybrid variation. The new hybrid powertrain combines a 2.0-liter, Atkinson I4 component to an Integrated Motor Assist System. The base gas powertrain from 2019 is no longer available in the 2020 CR-V. The only gas powertrain available for 2020 is a turbocharged 1.5-liter, I4 engine that is paired with a continuously variable transmission. It generates 190 horsepower. For all trims, front-wheel drive is standard. You can also upgrade to Real-Time 4-wheel drive.
The updates to the 2020 Honda CR-V carry throughout the exterior. The overall design is similar to the 2019 model’s exterior, but many surfaces have been retouched to give it a fresh, exciting look. Specifically, updates have been made to the grille, the chrome skirts, the wheel designs, the front fascia, and the rear bumper. The list of safety features has also been updated for the 2020 CR-V. All of the Honda Sensing assistive and advanced technologies are standard in all 2020 trims. Keep in mind that all of these updates are combined with the many appealing features that carry up from the 2019 model year. Some of these are a premium sound system, multiple functions mounted to the steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, smartphone integration, Bluetooth tech, leather trim, and other items.
