INTERNATIONAL YMCA HONORS LEADING HONDA DEALER WITH 2010 COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT AWARD
Hamilton, NJ-June 15, 2010-The YMCA announced that Mike Saporito and five-time NFL Pro-Bowler Jessie Armstead, co-owners of Hamilton Honda, have been honored with YMCA's prestigious 2010 Community Enrichment Award. The award, granted to community leaders who make an extraordinary impact on the YMCA's ability to meet critical social needs, was presented to Saporito and Armstead at the 22nd Annual Spring Ball at the Westin Hotel in Princeton, New Jersey.
"Mike and Jessie are being recognized not only for the kind and generous support of the YMCA, but also for the multitude of other organizations they've helped," said James J. Fell, CEO of Hamilton Area YMCA.
Over the past year, the Hamilton Honda co-owners have focused intensely on giving back to their local communities by assisting the YMCA, one of America's largest and most effective social not-for-profit organizations. To this end, the Hamilton Honda owners and their employees have worked tirelessly to fulfill YMCA's mission of helping children, families and individuals reach their full potential.
The partnership between YMCA and Hamilton Honda's Saporito and Armstead was also lauded by Governor Christie of New Jersey. "I commend the YMCA for its dedicated efforts to improving the welfare of others and I commend these honorees for their commitment, generosity, dedication and philanthropic support," the Governor said.
In a senate draft resolution, New Jersey Senator Tom Goodwin said that, "The people of the state of New Jersey are genuinely indebted to dedicated businesses, exemplified by Hamilton Honda, which are dedicated to improving the effectiveness of their communities and the quality of life for their neighbors. Hamilton Honda has established a model to emulate and set a standard of excellence towards which others might strive." The mayor of Hamilton Township, John F. Bencivengo, also issued high praise for the work of Saporito and Armstead, noting that "Hamilton Honda has significantly contributed to the success of the Hamilton area."
It's Hamilton Honda's mesh of community awareness and friendly business practices that helped Saporito and Armstead grow the dealership into one of the world's largest Honda dealers, despite being in business for only one year.
"The YMCA and the people that work there make a huge impact and we hope we can do our small part to support their great mission," says Mike Saporito. Co-owner Jessie Armstead noted that "There is nothing more fulfilling than to help kids reach their potential. For us as individuals and as a local business, it's an honor to have that kind of impact."

One GIANT step for Ryan's Quest
Following the day on the greens, was a dinner reception as well as a live and silent auction that would most certainly never be forgotten. Attendants enjoyed cocktails, hors d'oeuvres. and live entertainment by Edgar & Friends. Speeches were given by Ryan's parents, Maria & David Schultz, along with his grandfather, Pasquale Locane, on behalf of Ryan and Ryan's Quest to raise awareness about Duchenne muscular dystrophy. A video slideshow was also shown highlighting the growth and efforts of the organization since its establishment in March of 2008. Perhaps the most heartwarming and exciting highlight was the announcement at the very end of the video stating that over a half of a million dollars has been raised by Ryan's Quest to help fight Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
The silent and live auctions proved to be a huge success, especially when Jessie Armstead got involved and ran the show! Moved by the speeches given on behalf of Ryan and the thousands of other boys affected by DMD all around the world, Jessie moved the crowd to make some money. Jeremiah Trotter and Eli Manning autographed memorabilia and two sets of Coaches Club NY Giants tickets were auctioned off, getting the crowd pumped up and raising thousands of dollars for the cause!
With the support and generosity of all of the sponsors, golfers, an outstanding committee, and of course the official event sponsors, Jessie Armstead, Michael Saporito, & Hamilton Honda, and all of the NFL players, Ryan's Quest raised over $50,000 for research! Thank you so much to everyone involved from Ryan's Quest and from all the other young men and families who are affected by this disease.

Approximately 50% of the DMD cases are hereditary. However, an alarmingly high percentage (50%) occurs because of a spontaneous mutation at conception. It can happen in any family!

To Benefit Muscular Dystrophy Research
Thursday, April 29, 2010
Mercer Oaks Golf Course
We would like to invite you to join us at the Ryan's Quest 2nd Annual Golf Outing. We have a great day planned with golf, food, drinks, and some great prizes. Ryan's Quest is a Non-Profit Organization which was founded after learning of our son's diagnosis of Duchenne Muscular Dstrophy. DMD is the most common lethel genetic disorder diagnosed during early childhood, affecting 1 out of every 3,500 boys. It is a progressive muscle disorder that causes the loss of muscle function and independence. Typically, boys affected by DMD will lose their ability to walk between the ages of 8 and 12, require respiratory support by their late teens and survive only into their 20's. To date, there is no cure.
It is the Mission of Ryan's Quest to increase awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy with the purpose of allocating funds for research that has the greatest potential of finding a cure or treatment for this disease. It is our HOPE to find a cure for DMD to save Ryan's life and the lives of all boys affected by this disease and to provide them with a future of great opportunity.
Please Join us in the "Quest" for a cure by supporting the Ryan's Quest 2nd Annual Golf Outing. We look forward to seeing you this year so sign up up early for a great day of fun!
