Honda's Fit EV Hits the Streets and Dealerships in the U.S.

Hamilton Honda has been patiently waiting for the new Honda Fit EV to hit U.S. markets since the concept car was released. The first model has arrived; and the keys are in the hands of two, long-time Honda enthusiasts from Ventura County, CA - the Waltons.

When Honda first invited people to sign up to lease the Fit EV, and the Waltons just so happened to be the first to submit their names. Having owned at least four other new Honda vehicles since the '70s, they couldn't wait to get their hands on the electric Fit.

For those who might not be overly familiar with the engineering behind the all-new Honda Fit EV,  it offers the best efficiency rating of any other EV on the market: 118 MPGe* (the EPA's mile-per-gallon electric equivalency). What's more; it offers the lowest consumption rating of any EV available: 29 kWh/100 miles.

Speaking on the Honda Fit EV, inaugural owner, Matt Walton says, "The Honda Fit EV is not only a sustainable and energy-efficient transportation option with the highest fuel-efficiency rating of any EV, but it has the added bonus of being fun-to-drive and can fully recharge from 'empty' to 'full' in less than three hours."1

For drivers interested in taking to the roads of Hamilton, NJ in the new Honda Fit EV, Hamilton Honda would like to note that while the first model has arrived; availability will continue to be limited to a lease-only program in California and Oregon through the remainder of 2012. East-coast drivers can expect to see the revered model arrive, starting early next year.
